After being with his family for five years, Buddy's owner surrendered him to a shelter when a baby arrived.  The shelter environment terrified Buddy and being a black dog, nobody would even look at him.  The shelter knew that Buddy's best chances for a Forever Home were to place him with ARR and give him a home environment until he found a human who would give him the love, care and attention he needs.  Buddy is loyal and devoted to his person.  He will follow you around anywhere and everywhere, just waiting to do whatever you want to do.  Buddy is an smart dog who knows the commands "sit," "down, "stay," "wait," "shake,"  "speak,"  "roll over," "heel," and "come."  He probably knows even more, but his fosters are just learning the full potential of this special guy!  Buddy just wants to please his humans.  Buddy is good with other dogs when introduced properly, he doesn’t mind cats and is fine with older children.

Because being at the shelter freaked him out a little, his foster is just learning about his personality.  He is beginning to come out of his shell and learning that there are humans out there who care about him and love him.  One thing is for sure, Buddy loves butt scratches and belly rubs!   Yeah, now that would make any fella feel loved.  Please open up your heart and your home and give Buddy his Forever Home!

Adoption fee is $150 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, spay/neuter.  Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.

Our adoption process is:

1. Adoption application online and meet the animal.

2. Home inspection by one of our volunteers.

3. Adoption agreement online before you pick up animal.

4. Paypal on our website for adoption fee, otherwise pay the foster parent in the form of a check or money order.
