Cosmo has had a rough start in life: one that no living creature should have to endure. He was badly abused and has a torn ACL. His tail was actually detached from his spine and part of it had to be amputated. Who could be so cruel to him? Because of the abuse he endured, he occasionally walks with a limp. Cosmo needs his Forever Home. A home where his human is confident and experienced and can make him feel secure, loved and not have to live in fear of being hurt again. Are you Cosmo's rescuer?

Cosmo knows the commands "come," "sit," and "off." He is extremely smart, highly trainable but should not be the dominant dog in his home. He is vigilant and will bark to alert you to noises, people and doorbell sounds. Cosmo can be affectionate but it has to be on his terms. He is motivated by human attention and treats and will even sit for one. He loves to play with other dogs, but may be too rough with gentle dogs and would have to be corrected if he is. Cosmo really needs that special human to work with him and teach him that he needs no longer worry about being abused. Will you please give Cosmo that special, loving home?

Adoption fee is $200 which covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, spay/neuter and includes one training session with Kendra Mojica, ARR Dog Behaviorist.  Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Our adoption process is:

1. Adoption application online and meet the animal.

2. Home inspection by one of our volunteers.

3. Adoption agreement online before you pick up animal.

4. Paypal on our website for adoption fee, otherwise pay the foster parent in the form of a check or money order.
